Kids for Kids
Kids for Kids was born thanks to our commitment to Environmental Social and Governance (“ESG”) practices which are engrained in everything we do. Through it, we facilitate the donation of lightly worn clothing and shoes to kids who most need them.
Even though CASA Baez Segura Foundation focuses on bringing brand new items to the children we serve, we realized that there are so many children who do not get to wear their clothes or shoes enough times (if any) and they are almost in new condition before they move to the next size. Impoverished children benefit so much of those “hand me down” items and it is of great value for them.
We have pledged to serve as the helping hands to ensure those donations get to the hands of the children in the most vulnerable and poor areas we serve where there’s an impossibility for parents to provide clothing or shoes. In many cases, the children who receive these items are orphans and do not have anyone to clothe them.
It broke our hearts to see some of the children at some of our celebratory events without shoes in the heat of the sun. How can we keep going on with a celebration when there are kids barefoot? – By providing shoes to them! With the Kids for Kids program we have incorporated a sub-program called “Barefoot No More” which helps enhance this program even further.
Thanks to “Barefoot No More”, in addition to individual shoe donations, companies can target a percentage of their sales to donate shoes for impoverished kids or simply donate a larger number of shoes to an entire community.
